Important Info: North Trust Bar 5th Element

Dear North Kiteboarding customer,

Unfortunately, we have found out that if the fifth line is very dirty above the metal ring (e.g. if it is soiled with sand and salt) it may not slip up as easily as it should and therefore delay the depower effect of the Iron Heart III.

However, this problem is easy to solve. Simply follow the steps below:






1. Put your Iron Heart III down in front of you as shown in the illustration.
2. Pull the fifth line out of the Iron Heart III at the metal ring for approximately 30 cm. You will see the thick, spliced end of the line.
3. Tie an ordinary knot into the line so that only approximately 1 cm of the splice is visible on top of the knot.
4. Pull the fifth line back through the Iron Heart III so that the knot is flush with the Iron Heart III.
The fifth line has now been shortened through the knot. In order to make up for this loss of length you must proceed with the following steps:

5. Lay out your bar as shown in the illustration. Lengthen the fifth line at point C by tying the blue loop to the next higher knot above.



We recommend that you finally check the length of the lines as described in the manual in chapter 6 “Tips and Tricks”.

In order to ensure proper function and quick depower through the Iron Heart III, we recommend that you thoroughly rinse the Iron Heart III and the lines before each use and check its function by pulling the 5th line.
