die IKA hatte ja ihr Jährliches Meeting gerade in Rom...

da wurde auch über die World Cup Pläne / Tour entschieden...

Short report from the IKA Annual General Meeting in Rome yesterday.

Congratulations to Pilar Lopez, Mike Gebhardt, Alexanda Lockie and Bruno Marques as new members of the IKA Executive Committee. We are very much looking forward to work with this strong team in developing our sport to new heights !
Important decisions have been made yesterday:
Formula Kite will evolve into "foiling mode" and provide racing on equipment available to everyone in the shop, excluding prototypes. This will also be the new equipment for the Sailing World Cup and going forward for 2020. 70cm raceboards are eligible to further compete to protect investments made and allow for a soft transition. There was no support for a White Board Concept for foiling at this stage.
The KiteFoil class remains completely unregulated as in previous years but will crown a world champion for the first time. A submission to crown the world champion in a single event instead of the KiteFoil GoldCup has been approved subject to reviewing the already existing contracts for 2016, otherwise this principle will be introduced for the 2017 season.
The Kiteboarding World Championships for Freestyle, Big Air and Wave are in full swing and all details will be published this week, including rules and registration for the first event in El Gouna in March.
The event calendar has been presented and it will be a busy year in all disciplines ! All events will also go online this week so that riders can start making plans.
Regarding the Youth Olympics, the final equipment is said to be announced later this month by ISAF so that national associations can then start their programs.
The full minutes will be prepared as fast as possible once all reports have been handed in and approved by the new executive committee.
Also a official statement will be published regarding the IFKO and World Sailing (ISAFs) possible action which is very important to know for all riders.

bin gespannt was jetzt mit der PKT weiter passiert... wird es 2016 wirklich 2 Touren geben für Freestyle?

Zur Zeit sieht e besser für IKA aus...Fahrer sind sauer auf VKWC, Preisgelder von 2 Stopps wurden nicht bezahlt.

VKWC wird WKT und krönt wohl einen "offiziellen" World Champion.

So richtig verstehe ich das Ganze aber nicht:
http://worldkiteleague.com (IKA) steht nun der WKT gegenüber, beide haben (scheinbar) die Befugnis vom World Sailing (früher ISAF - Mitglied im Sportsaccord) den Weltmeistertitel zu vergeben?
Für die Fahrer: Wer bei der einen Tour mitfährt, darf bei der anderen nicht mitfahren? Problem z.B. Weltcup auf Fehmarn steht bei beiden Touren drinnen!?

Zu allem Überfluss: Was ist die IFKO?
Kurz: Wo ist das Problem? Warum gibt es überhaupt zwei Organisationen(?) die eine Tour veranstalten, warum führt nicht ISAF eine Tour durch?
