Hallo Snowkiter,
da ich ( Kitefabrik.de ) und Daniel ( Foilfest.de ) gerade in der Planung des SNOWTIME VI bin und den Termin mit anderen Veranstaltern abgestimmt haben, dachte ich mir hier mal einen Infothread zu erstellen. Also wer noch weitere Snowkite Eventtermine hat sollte sie hier eintragen!

Das SNOWTIME VI findet am 26. - 27.1.2013 in Satzung ( Erzgebirge )statt.

Würde es begrüßen, wenn man Rennen stattfinden lässt, wo jeder den gleichen kite hat. 15 gleiche kites einer Marke, würden doch schon reichen. Und dann Auscheidungsrennen

Solange jedes Material erlaubt ist, suckt das.

das kommt dann bei den Olympischen Winterspielen 21..

Es gibt nicht´s schöneres als an seinem Material zu tüfteln, sein Setup ab zu stimmen, etc.

Die Topfahrer werden von der Kite Industrie unterstützt und greifen sicher nicht auf ein Einheitsmaterial eines anderen Herstellers zurück.
Am Reschensee gibt es beim Boardercross ein Auswahlverfahren.
Bei "normalen" Rennen mit über hundert Teilnehmern wäre die Durchführung unmöglich.

Weiters bevorzugen manche Handles, Foils, Tubes, etc.

Wäre ein Regel bei der man Rider zu etwas zwingt was der Großteil nicht möchte. Ergebnis... keine Rider bei den Rennen.

Mishkumi Challenge postponement to February 2014

The Mishkumi Challenge organizing committee as well as its partners informs you of the postponement of the event to February 2014. The 2012-2013 economic situation and inadequate funding due to various major events in 2013 did not allow us to offer the recreational component as we had planned and announced. We therefore thought it best to move the first official edition of the Mishkumi Challenge to the 2014 on the same dates, allowing us to improve our funding.

Moreover, in order to promote the 2014 event, a film crew from Quebec, associated to Quattro Media, World of Freesports show producer from Germany, joined Mishkumi Challenge for the production of a one-hour documentary on the destination and on long-distance traction ski races. This documentary, which will be broadcast around the world, coupled with the presence of American and European journalists, will help us in achieving the important goal of supporting the development of the region’s touristic supply and in justifying the establishment of reception facilities required to receive and accommodate customers looking for a unique experience. Let’s not forget that the Mishkumi Challenge was developed to help position the Lac St-Jean as a long-distance “Kitesnow” and international winter destination.

We will also take advantage of the postponement to recruit international teams at the World Championships to be held in Norway in April 2013, providing global and comprehensive event coverage and ensuring our position on the international scene.

The fifteen two-competitor teams will be signed by the month of May and the 30 « free rider » seats available in the recreational component will open for reservation as early as January. Various sponsors will also be announced in the spring and all marketing activities will be put in place long before the event for real leverage with our partners!

Cultural and historic components will give a unique flavor to the event and the Mashteuiatsh community, a major partner, will host a traditional Ilnu evening with Shaputan sleepover.

Team Vindkraft won the World Championship in 2011, and has done it again! 09:13 April 11 the two times World Champions in Long Distance Snowkiting crossed the finishing line at Votteskaret, Vardø.
