That spot is off limits.
The Dutch kite surfing community is working hard to keep spots open and even to increase the number of spots. For everybody to enjoy!
There is no good reason to kite in an off limit area, and the arguments for going there (local authorities making money, "no one told us it was closed" OR "someone told us it's OK to kite there") have nothing to with it, and are not going to change the contents or the meaning of the big yellow sign.
Let me just say that to me foreigners are welcome to enjoy our coastline. Not for the money but to share the stoke. We have a set of the greatest kitesurfing spots right here and we're keen on keeping it that way.
Let's respect local regulations while you're at it. Kiting in off limit areas can and will result in the neighbouring spots being closed.
