Unfortunately, I have to complain about the board.

On Friday I used the board for the third time. The vent screw was closed
in the garage (approx. 18 degrees), the water temperature here in the
Baltic Sea is approx. 7 - 8 degrees. This means a slight negative
pressure in the board during the session.

After the session I noticed that there was water in the board (as
indicated it is partly hollow). I removed the vent screw and about 1
litre of water ran out of the board. At home, I placed the board
vertically on the wall for 48 hours (venting screw downwards) and more
water ran out of the board.

My guess was that possibly the vent screw had been leaking, e.g. due to
an uneven surface under the O-ring. But while I was examining the insert
for the bleed screw, I noticed that water was leaking out of the board
in other places as well.

It seems that the board has lamination defects in various places; the
laminate does not seem to be sufficiently saturated with resin
everywhere. Small pores have opened (or were only painted over with
paint) in the middle of the laminate and water leaks out (see pictures).
Maybe no even distribution of the resin or wrong vacuum when sucking off
the resin – but I'm sure you know better about all the things that can
go wrong.

The plug for the vent screw seems to be possibly leaking as well
(between insert and laminate).

Regarding the photos: the session was on 21.04, the photos were taken on
23.04. – in between the board stood vertically on the wall. Actually, I
would have thought that after 48 hours all the water would have flowed
out of the board. Nevertheless, there was still so much water in the
board that it leaked out in the middle of the surface. Does the foam
really not absorb any water? What kind of foam is it exactly? If the
foam does not absorb water (as indicated), then the question is how the
water gets to the leaks – this could be another indication of a poor
connection between foam and laminate.

Meines Wissens haben mindestens 4 weitere Bretter der Limited-Edition (hohle Bauweise) nach kürzester Zeit (teilweise beim ersten Einsatz) nicht gehalten...
