- I dont know so many people who know the serial numbers of their board, bar and kites.

- But even if you know your serial number, if I buy a 2nd hand bar, kite, drill machine or whatever, where can I (as buyer) check if that gear is stolen/lost? With the NFC I can simply scan and directly know if its a legimit item offered by the owner and if not, call the real owner with 1 button. Ok, this assumes that the buyer cares if the gear is legimit and not stolen off course. Its not a final solution, just trying to make things a bit better at very low costs.

- Many brands offer to register their products so if someone took the effort they will probably be able to trace their serial indeed and that is exacly the point in the case of Ventum. Ventum bars and boards did not have a serial yet nor a way to register gear hence this is a way to combine many things in one shot.
