[QUOTE=Rainer Kauper;1439910]Such a Lümmel! I was so looking forward to your report when I heard you were on your way to Egypt...

I once looked at our customers on their pages to see if they already write something about Maverick II, where your question will be answered. I found this on Instagram:

The Maverick 1 had quite a lot of space at the wingtip. If you fly a kite with this feature in the total overpower range, it can deform. I describe here and also here on the website that the Maverick is not a kite that would like to be driven too big. However, the modified shape at the wing end of the Maverick II now has less surface area. As a result, the profile can hardly deform in the upper wind area and remains stable. This modification of the Maverick II, in conjunction with a slightly thicker front tube, as well as the outer struts, stabilizes the wing end and noticeably expands the wind area upwards.

Ericccckkk had already published Maverick 1 kites and also a report about it here in the oasis in the other thread. He probably also wants to post a report on the Maverick II including videos here. I'm curious.

Ciao

Dear water addicts,

My experience with the Maverick II for surf & foil has exceeded my expectations.
Since I found that the 1st Maverick was a bit difficult to start from the water in low winds and also deformed fairly quickly once you put more weight on it I can inform you that these problems have completely disappeared.
The Mav II is still just as fast as its predecessor and also extremely light.
The drift is amazing, it just floats with you waiting for your input.
Bar pressure is lovely in my opinion, just right.
Rainer has given more sweep to the tips that make the water start almost automatic, this gives a lot of confidence in the light wind conditions because you just know it's in the air in no time.
The new Contender fabric is very nice and strong and has a beautiful shine, I've had quite a bit of wind in Brazil for 4 weeks but the fabric is still like new without cracks...perfect!
This kite is definitely made for wave and foil, the drift is superb and the kite generates a lot of power but very easy to control, the kite really does what you want, on the straight it's lock & load and off you go!
The high end is very good, the low end is fantastic.
The Mav II still has the same feeling as the Mav I without the distortions and the difficult water start in the lower wind areas, very well done Rainer!
I think it will be difficult to make this kite even better so I am already curious about version 3 next year.
In April 2022 I will do more downwinders with the directional and report on it here in this forum.
In combination with the fantastic Pinxto bar (addictive!) you have the ultimate weapon in your hands, which is also more than competitively priced for this quality.
This kite likes to be pumped up hard, don't be afraid... It can handle it
Furthermore, I fully agree with what is stated on their website in terms of sailing characteristics and quality, the only thing I'm missing is a 4 meter

Special thanks to Marcelo Eré - Cumbuco/Brazil

(Little note: this is the first kite I've been flying for more than over a year which is exceptional for me... I'm still not bored)
